Are the transfer pickup and dropoff times flexible?
Yes. If you need an earlier/later pickup/dropoff just let us know on booking and we will accommodate
1 day packages run all year Mount Toubkal summit climbs do not run during winter (November to May) Other itneries will be amended as required, number of days, durations will remain the same In extreme conditions we reserve the right to cancel any trek, on which you will receive a full refund
Accommodation on the Atlas Mountains is basic yet comfortable and can be Mountain Refuges and/or Camping depending on conditions/site A mountain refuge typical room is dormitories with bunk beds with mattresses and pillows provided. Camping set up would also be provided. There are also communal areas to relax and share your trekking experience with fellow trekkers.
Given the height of the Atlas Mountains there is potential for altitude sickness depending on the individual although we cannot predict an individuals chance of suffering and to what degree. The guide will fully manage the climb to reduce chances of developing altitude sickness. If still a concern, we would recommend the 3 day climb to the summit over the 2 day climb to the summit
There is nothing to stop you walking the Atlas Mountains without a guide but it is not recommended as the routes are unmarked and conditions can be dangerous. Our experienced guides will ensure a safe and enjoyable climb
If you are travelling without equipment this can all be hired (additional cost, approx. £3-5/item per day) You will need Good walking boots Clothing for both warm weather e.g. shorts and tshirt and cold/rain/snow e.g. waterproof jacket, trousers, gloves and hat Daypack Sunglasses Sleeping bag Head torch Sun cream Toilet roll Passport (for accommodation check in) Towel Wash kit
The weather is highly variable. Imil can reach high 40s in the Summer and the summit can go to -20 in the winter. At all times climbers need to be prepared for all weather.
